Generally such procedures would be carried out by ENT surgeons however there is some overlap with neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons and maxillofacial (face, neck & jaw) surgery. As with all surgeries things can go wrong, risks of complications that cannot always be blamed on medical practitioners. The vast majority of procedures go well but nevertheless, there are times when errors do occur and therefore give rise to a claim, examples include;
